350Z — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- 326 kW output at 10 psi boost on E85 fuel
- 254 kW output at 5 psi boost on petrol
- turbo boost capability with stock engine internals
- improved airflow through intercooling system
- enhanced fuel delivery and management control
This 2005 350Z runs a full Haltech Nexus standalone feeding a Precision 6466 turbo setup, calibrated for flex fuel operation. The VQ35 pulled 326 kW at the wheels and 510 Nm on 0.69 bar, built for closed-circuit competition use. Supporting hardware includes intercooling, exhaust, and an upgraded fuel system to handle both 98 and E85.
The Nexus platform gives clean control over ignition and fuelling across the ethanol range, letting the operator switch between pump premium and E85 without reflashing. Boost and timing maps are trimmed to suit each fuel's characteristics, with protection logic in place for lean conditions and detonation.
Does this file support both 98 RON and E85, or just one fuel type?
It's calibrated for flex fuel operation, so the ECU adjusts fuelling and timing automatically based on ethanol content. The operator can run anything from straight 98 through to E85 without changing the tune.
What's the Haltech Nexus platform like to work with on a VQ35 turbo build?
It's a full standalone with native flex fuel support and good resolution for tuning naturally aspirated motors under boost. Wiring is straightforward and the logging tools are solid for dialling in safety parameters on a build like this.
Is 0.69 bar conservative for a 6466 on this motor?
Yes. The Precision 6466 has headroom beyond that, but this calibration prioritises reliability for track use with pump fuel compatibility. There's scope to lift boost on straight E85 if the customer wants more.
