Monaro CV8 — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- 311kW peak power output
- 541Nm torque delivery
- 7psi boost pressure optimization
- Supercharger system integration
- Enhanced throttle response
The factory LS1 in the CV8 responds well to forced induction, and this 2003 Monaro is running a Harrop HTV2300 supercharger pushing 0.48 bar. Calibration was focused on safe ignition timing and fuel delivery under boost, with particular attention to heat management for closed-circuit use.
The file delivered 311 kW at the wheels and 541 Nm, measured on the workshop's dyno after the install. Power delivery is linear and predictable, which suits the chassis well given the factory rear-wheel-drive layout and older ABS system. This is a genuine track-oriented setup, not a street toy.
Boost control and throttle response were both refined during calibration. The tune assumes 98 RON as a minimum and benefits from consistent fuel quality, especially under sustained load during longer sessions.
What kind of power was this CV8 making before the supercharger and tune?
Factory LS1-powered Monaros typically made around 220–230 kW at the wheels in stock form. This Stage 2 setup with the Harrop unit and custom calibration has added roughly 80–90 kW.
Is this file suitable for street use or just competition?
The calibration is built for closed-circuit and off-road competition use. The boost level and tune parameters are set for performance driving, not daily commuting.
Does the tune require E85, or will 98 RON work?
The calibration was developed for 98 RON pump fuel as a minimum. E85 was not specified for this build, though many forced-induction LS platforms do benefit from ethanol content when recalibrated accordingly.
