VY SS with cam and exhaust breathing to 263 kW

This VY LS1 arrived with the typical bolt-on path sorted: OTR intake, extractors, high-flow cats, full exhaust, and a worthwhile cam upgrade. Stage 2 calibration brought it all together, letting the engine breathe properly across the full range without the factory lean spots and timing pull that hobble these cars.

The result was 263 kW and 348 Nm at the wheels. Not huge numbers by modern standards, but honest output for a naturally aspirated LS1 on pump fuel with sensible supporting mods. Throttle response cleaned up noticeably, and the cam profile now works as intended without the factory tune fighting it.

These VY platforms respond well once you give them air and sort the timing tables. The calibration focused on part-throttle driveability and keeping IATs in check during Australian summer conditions, while still making the most of the hardware.

Common questions
What fuel was this tune developed for?

Fuel type wasn't recorded with this file. For cam-equipped LS1 builds like this, we typically tune for 98 RON or E85 depending on the workshop's preference and customer use case.

Is this suitable for a VY with similar mods but no cam?

No. This calibration was developed specifically for a cammed LS1. Cam profile directly affects idle, fuel delivery, and ignition strategy. A Stage 1 file would suit bolt-ons without cam changes.

What's realistic to expect from a VY LS1 at this stage?

With exhaust, intake, and a mild cam, 260–270 kW at the wheels is the typical ceiling on pump fuel. You need headwork or forced induction to push much beyond that reliably.
