FG XR6T FG — Stage 3 ECU Tune
- 719kW peak power output
- Enhanced airflow through ported cylinder head
- Upgraded turbocharger for increased boost response
- Improved intercooling efficiency
- Optimized ECU calibration for race application
- Transmission upgrade for power handling
This 2010 FG XR6T was built for closed-circuit competition, with the platform file developed on a Haltech plugin ECU. The Barra received comprehensive head work and a seriously upgraded turbo system, then paired to a TH400 auto to handle the load.
The result was 719 kW at the wheels and 976.2 Nm, recorded after the calibration was completed. Valve timing, fuel delivery, and ignition mapping were dialled in to match the hardware: the upgraded valve train, ported head, larger turbo, and high-flow intake and exhaust manifolds all needed careful calibration to work together safely under sustained load.
The file reflects the realities of a high-output forced-induction build — traction management, knock control, and thermal limits were all front of mind. This is a track-focused setup, and the calibration treats it as such.
What fuel was this calibration developed for?
Fuel type wasn't recorded with this file. Workshop should confirm fuel strategy and octane rating before use.
Why pair a TH400 to a Barra in this build?
The TH400 is a proven three-speed auto capable of handling serious torque, making it a common choice for high-output Barra builds intended for circuit or drag use where simplicity and strength matter more than street manners.
Is this file suitable for street use?
No. This is a full competition build calibrated for closed-circuit use. Power output, drivetrain setup, and tuning approach are all track-focused.
