FG Barra on E85 and factory ECU, 299 kW at the hubs

Stage 2 on the factory ECU still delivers when the supporting hardware is in place. This FG runs ARP head studs, a proper front-mount, upgraded fuel system, and 2.5 inch exhaust to handle E85 and 1.3 bar of boost without drama.

The calibration pushed power from 226 kW to 299 kW at the wheels, with torque lifting from 420 Nm to 508 Nm. Timing and fuel maps were dialled in for ethanol content, boost control tightened up, and VCT tuned through the mid-range to make use of the extra flow. Intended for closed-circuit competition use.

E85 helps with charge temps and knock margin, but the tune assumes consistent ethanol content and fresh fuel. The factory ECU has enough headroom for this level if the tune respects its limits.

Common questions
Can the factory ECU handle E85 and this power level reliably?

Yes, provided the fuel system and knock control are properly calibrated. This file was developed for a car running upgraded injectors and high-pressure pump, with ARP studs holding the head. Fuel quality and ethanol content need to stay consistent.

What sort of boost pressure is safe on the factory turbo at Stage 2?

This build runs 1.3 bar. The factory turbo will tolerate it on E85 with adequate fuelling and a good intercooler, but it's getting near the efficient limit. For competition use only.

Does the FG need a standalone to make 299 kW at the wheels?

Not at Stage 2. The factory ECU can support this output with the right calibration and supporting mods. Standalone becomes more relevant if you're chasing north of 350 kW or running a larger turbo.
