Stage 3 Focus RS on Syvecs flex fuel — 290 kW at the wheels

This 2017 Focus RS runs a full Syvecs standalone to manage the flex fuel setup and supporting hardware. High-pressure fuel pump, uprated injectors, boost solenoid and wastegate control give the calibrator the headroom needed to get the most out of the upgraded turbo on both 98 and E85.

The workshop recorded 290 kW at the wheels, up from 156 kW factory, with torque sitting at 502 Nm. Drive-by-wire optimisation was tuned to keep throttle response predictable under load. The file is mapped for closed-circuit and off-road competition use.

Flex fuel gives the owner options: run 98 RON for everyday reliability or dial up E85 content when chasing maximum output. The Syvecs platform handles the transition cleanly and adjusts timing and fuelling on the fly.

Common questions
Why Syvecs for this build?

Syvecs offers full flex fuel mapping, precise boost and wastegate control, and the wiring flexibility needed for a Stage 3 RS. It handles the complexity of switching between 98 RON and E85 without retuning.

What's the real-world benefit of flex fuel on a car like this?

You can run pump 98 for street driving or daily tasks, then switch to E85 for track days or competition when you want maximum power and knock resistance. The ECU adjusts fuelling and ignition in real time based on ethanol content.

Is this file suitable for street use?

This is a Stage 3 competition build intended for off-road and closed-circuit use. The hardware and output level exceed what's appropriate for registered road use in Australia.
