Navara NP300 — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- 42% increase in power output
- 36% increase in torque delivery
- Improved fuel efficiency
- Enhanced boost control response
- Optimized fuel injection timing and pressure
This 2017 Navara D23 came in with a clear brief: make usable torque for towing and touring without chasing headline numbers. The customer had already fitted upgraded injectors, a high-pressure fuel pump, and revised wastegate solenoids, so the hardware was ready for proper calibration work.
We reworked boost control, fuelling strategy, and drive-by-wire mapping on the factory ECU. The result was 100 kW at the wheels, up from 70, and torque lifted from 426 Nm to 580 Nm. That's a useful jump in the mid-range where you actually live with a ute—overtaking on the highway or pulling a trailer up a grade. Thermal management was kept conservative given the Australian summer, and the file was tailored for diesel quality you'd find at any servo.
It's a solid Stage 2 setup: enough supporting hardware to let the tune breathe, without going full competition spec.
What hardware is required to run this Stage 2 file?
This file was developed for a vehicle fitted with upgraded injectors, a high-pressure fuel pump, revised wastegate solenoids, and boost control modifications. Without these supporting mods, the file won't deliver the intended result.
Is this torque output safe for towing and daily use?
The file was calibrated with thermal margins suitable for loaded driving in Australian conditions. We kept fuelling and timing conservative enough for reliability, but any heavy towing or off-road use should be monitored as with any modified diesel.
Can I run this tune on a stock NP300 D23?
No. This is a Stage 2 file that requires the hardware listed—injectors, pump, and boost control components. A Stage 1 file would be appropriate for a stock vehicle.
