The 2020 MU-X is a capable tourer out of the box, but the factory calibration leaves room on the table. This Stage 1 file brings it up to 112 kW at the wheels and lifts torque to 425 Nm — a useful 90 Nm gain that makes itself felt when towing or loaded for long trips.
Stock hardware is retained throughout. The calibration refines fuelling and timing to extract what the platform can safely deliver on pump fuel, with no hardware changes required. The result is a smoother, more responsive mid-range that suits Australian highway driving and laden use without pushing the powertrain beyond sensible margins.
Does this tune require any hardware changes?
No. This is a software-only Stage 1 file. The factory hardware is retained and the calibration works within those limits.
What's the real-world benefit of the extra torque?
The 90 Nm gain shows up most when towing or carrying a load. Overtaking and hill climbs become easier, and you spend less time searching for gears on the highway.
Is this safe on pump fuel?
Yes. The calibration is designed to run on standard pump fuel available in Australia, with margins suited to a daily-driven 4WD.
