RB25 built for closed-circuit use, 180 kW at the wheels

This R34 Skyline received a complete bottom-end refresh and supporting hardware to extract reliable power on 98 RON for track applications. The engine was rebuilt with forged internals and upgraded camshafts, then fitted with a larger turbo, front-mount intercooler, bigger injectors, uprated fuel pump, and a standalone ECU to manage the lot.

The calibration was developed around the turbo and fuelling package, targeting usable torque without overstepping the limits of the build. Final result came in at 180 kW and 319 Nm at the wheels, up from 105 kW and 235 Nm.

The tune runs on pump 98, though the hardware would support E85 if the customer moves in that direction later. Wastegate control and ignition were mapped conservatively given the application.

Common questions
What ECU platform was used for this calibration?

The file was developed for a standalone ECU fitted to this car. The calibration manages ignition, fuelling, and boost control across the full operating range.

Is this suitable for street use?

This is a full race build intended for off-road and closed-circuit competition use only.

Could this setup run E85 instead of 98 RON?

The injectors and fuel pump would support E85. A recalibration would be required to suit the different fuel properties.
