R35 GT-R Stage 3 on ECUTEK — 399 kW ATW with GT800 twins

This 2012 R35 was already running the HKS GT800 kit before arriving for calibration, along with forged internals, upgraded fuelling, and a fully rebuilt Dodson GR6 transmission. The ECU and TCU calibration needed to tie it all together on 98 RON for track use.

The ECUTEK file brought power from 290 kW to 399 kW at the wheels while keeping boost at 1.17 bar. Torque lifted from 423 Nm to 499 Nm. With forged pistons and H-beam rods already fitted, the VR38 had the foundation to handle the output, and the TCU tune ensured the built gearbox could manage the load without hesitation.

Both ECU and TCU calibration are provided for this setup. Intended for closed-circuit competition use only.

Common questions
Why didn't boost increase if this is a Stage 3 file?

Boost held at 1.17 bar because the GT800 kit flows far more efficiently than stock turbos at the same pressure. The power gain comes from improved flow, not just higher boost, plus the supporting fuelling and calibration changes.

Does the TCU tune come with the ECU file?

Yes, both ECU and TCU calibration are included. The TCU file is essential with this level of torque to manage shift timing, pressure, and lockup strategy for the built GR6 gearbox.

Is this safe on 98 RON pump fuel?

The calibration was developed for 98 RON and validated at these power levels with the supporting hardware in place. For competition use only.
