Link G4X R34 RWD build with Hypergear highflow and 55.4 kW gain

This R34 started life as a naturally aspirated RB25 and came to us already converted to a Link G4X platform with a Hypergear highflow turbo and supporting fuel system. The goal was a solid street/circuit calibration for 95 RON without chasing peak numbers—just reliable mid-range drive and a known safe baseline for the owner to build from.

We dialled in fuel and ignition tables from scratch, set boost control via the upgraded solenoid to 1.38 bar, and mapped the injectors. Final result was 158 kW at the wheels, up from a baseline 102.6 kW—a 55.4 kW gain—and torque climbing to 343 Nm. Nothing groundbreaking, but smooth delivery and well within the limits of the hardware.

Builds like this are intended for closed-circuit and off-road competition use. The Link G4X gives plenty of headroom if the owner steps up fuel quality or adds an intercooler upgrade down the track.

Common questions
Why did boost stay at 1.38 bar if this is a Stage 2 tune?

Boost was already set by the hardware—the Hypergear highflow and solenoid were sized for this pressure. We focused on optimising fuel, timing, and safety margins rather than pushing boost higher on 95 RON.

Can this file be adapted for 98 RON or E85 later?

Yes. The Link G4X platform makes fuel switching straightforward. A separate calibration for 98 RON or E85 would unlock more timing and potentially more power, depending on the owner's goals and supporting mods.

What's the realistic street lifespan of a setup like this?

With regular maintenance and sensible driving, this is a modest load for an RB25. The fuel system and turbo are conservative for the output. Intended use is competition and off-road only.
