300 SRT — Stage 1 ECU & TCU Tune
- Torque dip elimination across rev range
- Throttle response sharpening
- Aftermarket exhaust deformity compensation
- Improved power delivery
- Enhanced torque characteristics
The 2021 Chrysler 300 SRT remains one of the more underutilised platforms on Australian roads. This Stage 1 ECU and TCU calibration extracts measurable improvements from the 6.4-litre naturally aspirated HEMI without requiring invasive hardware changes.
With a catback exhaust already fitted, we optimised high-pressure fuel pump delivery, refined injector pulse width calibration, and adjusted drive-by-wire throttle mapping to sharpen response. Boost solenoid tuning improved consistency under load. The result: 315 kW at the wheels, up from 307 kW, and torque holding steady at 562 Nm.
The TCU calibration complements the engine work with firmer shift schedules and adjusted lockup behaviour. It's a straightforward, reliable improvement for a workshop customer chasing sharper driveability on 98 RON without chasing big numbers.
Is this still a daily-drivable tune for street use?
Yes. Stage 1 calibration maintains all factory safety parameters and is designed for normal street driving on 98 RON pump fuel.
Why is the torque gain so modest compared to power?
The 392 HEMI is naturally aspirated and already produces strong low-end torque from the factory. Gains on these platforms come primarily from optimising fuelling and ignition timing in the mid to upper rev range.
Does the TCU tune affect drivability or transmission longevity?
The TCU calibration refines shift timing and firmness but stays within safe torque limits for the factory ZF 8-speed. It improves response without compromising reliability.
