Silvia S15 — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- 73% power increase
- 76% torque increase
- Enhanced boost control
- Improved fuel system response
- Optimised engine management calibration
This 2002 Silvia arrived with the usual bolt-ons: front-mount, downpipe, exhaust, upgraded fuel pump, injectors, and boost solenoids. The Haltech platform gave us full control to extract what the hardware could support on 98 RON pump fuel.
The calibration was built for closed-circuit use, targeting 1.52 bar of boost. Result came in at 225 kW and 385 Nm at the wheels, up from a baseline 130 kW and 218 Nm. It's a solid outcome for a street-spec SR20 on pump fuel without chasing unrealistic numbers.
Fuel and ignition maps were dialled to keep things safe under summer heat, with particular attention to knock thresholds above 5000 rpm where these engines get sensitive. The tune holds boost cleanly through the gears and suits the typical weekend track setup.
Is this calibration safe for daily driving on 98 RON?
The file was developed for closed-circuit competition use at 1.52 bar. While the calibration is conservative for the hardware, it's not intended as a street file.
What ECU platform was this tuned on?
Haltech. The calibration is specific to that platform and the hardware listed.
Could this setup make more power on E85?
Almost certainly. This result is on 98 RON pump fuel. E85 would allow more timing and potentially more boost, but would require a revised calibration and confirmation of fuel system capacity.
