SRT — Stage 3 ECU & TCU Tune
- 79% power increase to 292kW
- 85% torque increase to 530Nm
- Enhanced fuel system delivery
- Optimized boost control
- Improved drivability through drive-by-wire calibration
- E85 fuel compatibility maximized
This 2014 SRT came in for a complete Stage 3 build: forced induction hardware, high-pressure fuel pump, upgraded injectors, boost control solenoids, wastegate, and drive-by-wire recalibration. The owner wanted a proper off-road competition setup on E85, so fuelling and ignition tables were written from the ground up on the factory ECU.
The workshop recorded 292 kW at the wheels, up from 163 kW stock — a gain of 129 kW. Torque climbed from 286 Nm to 530 Nm. Both the ECU and TCU were calibrated to handle the new load and keep the 4WD drivetrain alive under the extra pressure.
E85 gave us the knock resistance needed for timing advance under boost, and the fuel system upgrades kept supply stable right through the upper range. Closed-circuit use only.
Why E85 for this build?
E85 offers much higher knock resistance than 98 RON, letting us run more aggressive timing and boost safely on a forced induction HEMI. It also runs cooler under load, which matters on a heavy 4WD platform.
Was the TCU tune necessary for Stage 3?
Yes. With torque nearly doubling to 530 Nm, the factory TCU shift points, pressure tables, and torque limiters needed full recalibration to protect the transmission and manage driveline shock in a 4WD.
What platform was used for the ECU calibration?
This was calibrated on the factory ECU. All fuelling, ignition, boost control, and drive-by-wire maps were rewritten to suit the Stage 3 hardware and E85.
