The Liberty GT responds well to a proper ECU tune when you've already addressed the intake and exhaust. This customer came in with a full 3 inch exhaust system and cold air intake already fitted, so the Stage 1 file was built to take advantage of the improved breathing without requiring any further hardware.
Results came in at 138 kW at the wheels, up from 128 kW, with torque lifting from 285 Nm to 295 Nm. Not huge numbers on paper, but the difference is felt through the midrange where these flat-fours spend most of their time. The tune cleans up throttle response and makes the power delivery more linear, which is what you want in a daily driven AWD wagon.
Solid outcome for a software-only Stage 1 on a car that's already got the basics sorted.
Is this tune safe for a daily driver on 98 RON?
Yes. Stage 1 is designed for pump 98 RON and requires no hardware changes beyond what's already fitted here. It's a conservative calibration suited to normal road use.
Will I need the same exhaust and intake to run this file?
This particular file was calibrated for a car with full 3 inch exhaust and cold air intake. We can supply a file matched to your specific hardware setup.
What else can I expect besides the power gain?
