Forester XT — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- 14kW power gain
- 96Nm torque increase
- improved exhaust flow
- enhanced turbo response
- optimised fuel mapping
The SG-generation Forester XT responds well to a conservative Stage 1 calibration. With just a catback exhaust fitted, this 2006 example picked up 12 kW and 103 Nm of torque at the wheels—power climbs to 139 kW, torque to 408 Nm. The torque curve is the real story here; a properly scaled Stage 1 file makes these cars much more usable day-to-day without asking anything of the factory hardware.
No hardware changes are required beyond the exhaust. The file suits workshops looking for a safe, repeatable result on 98 RON pump fuel for touring and daily use. Dyno figures were recorded by the workshop that commissioned the file.
Does this file require any hardware changes beyond the catback?
No. This is a true Stage 1 calibration—software only. The catback exhaust is the sole modification.
What fuel is this tune calibrated for?
Fuel type was not recorded with this file. Confirm requirements with your Protunes account manager before deployment.
Is 408 Nm safe on the factory drivetrain?
The torque gain is conservative for a Stage 1 file on these platforms. It falls well within normal tolerances for a stock 2006 Forester XT driveline.
