WRX — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- Torque increase from 204Nm to 269Nm
- Significantly improved midrange performance
- Peak power increase from 117kW to 131kW
- 14kW power gain
- 65Nm torque gain
This 2015 WRX came through with a Mishimoto cold air intake and cat-back exhaust already fitted. The customer wanted a proper Stage 1 file to wake up the FA20DIT without touching hardware any further.
We built a software-only recalibration targeting safe daily-use power on 98 RON. The dyno figures supplied by the workshop showed 117 kW climbing to 131 kW at the wheels, with torque lifting from 204 Nm to 269 Nm. The torque curve is noticeably fatter through the mid-range, which is where these cars spend most of their life on the road.
No fuelling hardware was changed, so we stayed within the headroom of the factory fuel system and kept knock margins safe for pump fuel in Australian summer heat.
Is this tune safe on the stock fuel system?
Yes. This Stage 1 file works within the factory fuel system's capacity and is calibrated for 98 RON pump fuel with safe knock margins.
What's the actual torque gain on this file?
Torque increased from 204 Nm to 269 Nm at the wheels — a gain of 65 Nm, most of it delivered in the mid-range.
Does the customer need any other hardware for this tune?
No. This is a true Stage 1 software-only tune. The intake and exhaust were already fitted, and no further modifications are required.
