This 2017 STi came in with a fresh replacement engine and the usual supporting hardware already fitted: intake, exhaust, top-mount intercooler, upgraded fuel pump, and blow-off valve. The brief was a conservative Stage 1 file suited to the new motor during its bedding-in period, holding boost at 1.2 bar while the engine found its feet.
The workshop recorded 180 kW at the wheels and 290 Nm after the flash. Numbers are deliberately modest for a platform capable of much more, but that was the intent—get it running cleanly, keep it safe, and leave headroom for a more aggressive file once the motor's had some hours on it.
Good baseline for a fresh engine on pump fuel, with all the foundation hardware in place for a Stage 2+ push later if the customer wants it.
Why the modest figures for a fully bolted STi?
This was a new replacement engine. The tune was intentionally conservative to allow proper run-in, with boost limited to 1.2 bar. The hardware supports a much more aggressive calibration once the motor's bedded in.
Is this suitable for a fresh engine?
Yes. The file was specifically tailored for a replacement motor during its early life. Conservative boost and fuelling parameters make it ideal for the break-in phase while still providing usable performance.
What fuel was this tuned for?
Fuel type wasn't recorded with this file. Workshop should confirm with the original calibrator or assume pump 98 RON unless otherwise specified.
