Lancer — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- Improved Power Output
- Improved Torque Delivery
- Boost Control Optimization
- Fuel System Management Enhancement
- Drive-By-Wire Calibration
The 2008 Lancer's 4B11 responds well to calibration once the cooling and exhaust side is addressed. This one came in with a front-mount intercooler, upper pipe, cat-back, and upgraded radiator — enough to safely support a Stage 1 file on 98 RON without needing injectors or a fuel pump.
The workshop recorded 170 kW at the wheels, up 13 kW from the factory tune, with torque holding steady at 258 Nm. It's a modest but useful gain for a daily that still sees plenty of highway use. The calibration stays within the factory ECU's headroom and keeps the power delivery predictable through the mid-range where these engines spend most of their time.
No drama, no hardware surprises — just a sensible file for a car that's already breathing better.
Does this file require E85 or higher octane than pump 98?
No. This calibration is written for 98 RON pump fuel, which is widely available across Australia. The power and torque figures above were recorded on 98.
Will I need injectors or fuel pump upgrades for this Stage 1 tune?
No additional fuel system hardware is required. The factory ECU and fuel delivery can support this output level with the cooling and exhaust modifications listed.
Can this tune be run on a stock exhaust and intercooler?
Not recommended. This file is calibrated for the improved flow and thermal capacity provided by the front-mount intercooler, upper pipe, and cat-back exhaust already fitted to this vehicle.
