Liberty GT — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- 13% power increase to 127kW
- 36% torque increase to 287Nm
- improved throttle response
- enhanced boost control
- optimized fuel delivery
- sharper engine response
This 2013 Liberty GT arrived with a 3 inch exhaust, cold air intake, and the intention to make better use of both on 98 RON. The factory ECU was recalibrated to optimise boost solenoid behaviour, fuel pump duty, and injector scaling without touching hardware. The result was 127 kW at the wheels, up from 112.4 kW, but the real shift was torque: 287 Nm versus the stock 211 Nm.
The EJ25 responds well to calibration when the basics are sorted. Fuel and boost maps were tightened up to suit the intake and exhaust flow, and the car drives noticeably sharper through the mid-range without asking anything heroic of the engine. A sensible step for a daily that already had the supporting mods in place.
Is this tune safe on the factory engine and turbo?
Yes. Stage 1 works within factory hardware limits. The tune optimises fuel delivery, boost control, and timing to suit the intake and exhaust without exceeding safe thresholds for the EJ25 or factory turbo.
What dyno figures were recorded?
Power went from 112.4 kW to 127 kW at the wheels, with torque lifting from 211 Nm to 287 Nm. Boost pressure was not recorded during the session.
Can this file be used on a Liberty GT with stock exhaust?
No. This calibration was developed for a car with a 3 inch exhaust and cold air intake. Running it on stock hardware would cause fuelling and boost behaviour to sit outside safe parameters.
