E30 with M30 turbo conversion and DCT swap on Maxxecu Race

This one's about as far from stock as an E30 gets. The owner went all-in with a full turbo conversion on the M30, swapping in a Garrett unit running 1 bar through a custom low-mount manifold, then fitted a GS7D36SG DCT with bespoke bellhousing adaptors. The entire car was rewired to integrate the Maxxecu Race platform with full ECU and TCU control.

We calibrated the file for E85, dialling in boost control, fuelling, and the DCT's shift strategy to suit the new hardware. The workshop supplied dyno figures showing 370 kW at the wheels with 690 Nm. It's a serious package built for the track, and the Maxxecu gave us the granular control needed to manage both the engine and transmission under heavy load.

This is proper competition-spec hardware. Off-road and closed-circuit use only.

Common questions
Why run a DCT behind a turbo M30?

The GS7D36SG handles the torque and gives fast, repeatable shifts under boost. With custom bellhousing adaptors and a single-mass flywheel, it's a clean match for track work where clutch slip and driver fatigue become real issues.

What does the Maxxecu Race platform bring to a build like this?

Full control over both engine and transmission calibration from one platform. You can tune boost, fuelling, ignition, and DCT shift points simultaneously, which is essential when you're chasing 370 kW at the wheels on E85.

Is 1 bar conservative for this setup?

On E85 with the hardware spec here, 1 bar delivers strong, repeatable power without pushing the block or turbo too hard. It's about longevity on the track, not chasing peak numbers that won't last.
