The B58 in the A90 chassis responds well to calibration alone, and this file shows exactly that. With an aftermarket intake and freer-flowing exhaust already fitted, the factory ECU and TCU were recalibrated to suit 98 RON pump fuel without touching the turbo, intercooler, or fuelling hardware.
The result was 247 kW at the wheels, up from 211 kW, and torque lifted from 349 Nm to 463 Nm. The TCU tune sharpens shift behaviour under load and holds gears longer when you're committed, which suits the extra midrange torque the engine now makes.
This is a solid baseline for street use on premium unleaded. The torque curve fills out early and stays flat through the midrange, making the car far more responsive without needing to sit high in the rev range.
Does this tune require any hardware changes beyond the intake and exhaust?
No. This is a Stage 1 software-only calibration designed to work with the factory turbo, intercooler, and fuelling system. The intake and exhaust were already fitted before tuning.
What does the TCU tune actually change?
The TCU calibration adjusts shift points, firmness under load, and hold behaviour to match the increased torque output. It keeps the transmission in gear longer when accelerating and reduces unnecessary hunting during part-throttle driving.
Can this tune run safely on 98 RON in Australian summer heat?
Yes. The file was calibrated specifically for 98 RON pump fuel and accounts for real-world conditions, including higher intake temps during summer.
