Evolution 10 — Stage 2 ECU & TCU Tune
- 15% power increase to 169kW
- 30% torque increase to 421Nm
- Improved boost control responsiveness
- Enhanced fuel system efficiency
- Optimized drive-by-wire calibration
This 2008 Evo X runs the stock ECU and TCU, both recalibrated to work together after a solid foundation of fuelling and boost control hardware. The 4B11 now delivers 169 kW and 421 Nm at the wheels, up from 147 kW and 323 Nm. The torque lift is particularly useful for circuit work where mid-range punch out of corners matters.
We've addressed the high-pressure fuel pump and injectors to support the new load, then optimised boost control through the wastegate solenoids and drive-by-wire mapping. The TCU file ensures shift points and lock-up behaviour suit the new torque curve without hunting or flare. Intended for closed-circuit competition use on 98 RON.
Both files are supplied together as a matched pair. The factory platform handles Stage 2 well when the fuelling is sorted first.
Why tune both ECU and TCU on this platform?
The factory TCU shift strategy and torque limiters are calibrated for stock output. Without recalibrating the transmission file, you'll get mistimed shifts, torque cuts, and inconsistent lock-up behaviour that wastes the extra torque.
What supporting mods are required before this file?
High-pressure fuel pump, larger injectors, boost control solenoids, and wastegate control as a minimum. The file expects those hardware changes to be in place and functioning.
Is this suitable for street use?
This calibration is intended for off-road and closed-circuit competition use only.
