M140i — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- Enhanced power delivery with 22% increase
- Increased peak torque with 14% gain
- Improved fuel efficiency
- Map switching capability for performance tuning
- Boost control optimization
The 2018 M140i came in at 224 kW at the wheels on 98 RON. With a downpipe, intake and Bootmod interface in place, the Stage 2 file brought it to 274 kW and 521 Nm — a solid 50 kW gain without touching the factory turbo.
The B58 responds well to breathing mods and tuning. This file keeps the factory ECU in play while pulling timing and fuel adjustments to suit the freer exhaust and intake flow. Torque sits at 521 Nm, which is usable without overwhelming the stock drivetrain on a rear-drive chassis.
Suited to closed-circuit use. The workshop recorded the result and supplied the file for archive.
Does this file need E85 or flex fuel?
No, this tune runs on 98 RON pump fuel. The power and torque figures above were recorded on 98.
What platform does the file use?
Factory ECU via the Bootmod interface. No standalone required for Stage 2 on the B58.
Is the stock turbo still in place?
Yes. This is a Stage 2 result with downpipe and intake only. The factory turbo remains.
This calibration was developed for a workshop like yours
The BMW M140i above was calibrated by Protunes for a partner workshop — they did the vehicle work and kept their customer; we did the calibration engineering on the Factory. Add professional ECU and TCU calibration to your workshop without employing a calibration engineer.
