NX200T — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- Power increase from 154 kW to 169 kW
- Torque increase from 306 Nm to 345 Nm
- Enhanced performance delivery
- Improved engine efficiency
The 2015 NX200T runs Toyota's 8AR-FTS turbo four, and while it's a capable engine in factory trim, it responds well to calibration once you free up the intake and exhaust. This Stage 2 file was developed for a vehicle fitted with a downpipe and a high-flow air intake — modest hardware, but enough to let the turbo work more efficiently and give the calibrator room to move.
The result is 169 kW at the wheels, up from 154 kW, with torque climbing from 306 Nm to 345 Nm. The extra mid-range torque is the noticeable change in day-to-day driving — useful for overtaking and on-ramp acceleration without needing to drop back a gear. The file was tested on 98 RON and suits Australian conditions without drama.
Is this safe for a daily driver on 98 RON?
Yes. The calibration was developed for 98 RON pump fuel and is appropriate for regular road use with the supporting hardware fitted.
What does Stage 2 mean for the NX200T?
Stage 2 refers to a calibration paired with a downpipe and intake. It's a step up from a flash-only tune but doesn't require internal engine work or major turbo upgrades.
Will this work with a stock exhaust and intake?
No. This file assumes a downpipe and high-flow intake are fitted. Running it on stock hardware may cause fuelling issues or underperformance.
This calibration was developed for a workshop like yours
The Lexus NX200T above was calibrated by Protunes for a partner workshop — they did the vehicle work and kept their customer; we did the calibration engineering. Add professional ECU and TCU calibration to your workshop without employing a calibration engineer.
