Evo7 Evo7 — Stage 3 ECU Tune
- Enhanced combustion efficiency through optimized camshaft timing and valve control
- Increased boost capability via G30-900 turbocharger with 0.83 A/R housing
- High-flow 3.5-inch turboback exhaust system for improved scavenging
- Staged dual fuel pump system delivering 1050lph total capacity for E85 demands
- Precision wideband and multi-sensor monitoring for real-time engine management optimization
This Evo 7 is a proper closed-circuit build. The short-block runs forged internals with a 9:1 compression ratio, balance shaft delete, upgraded oil pump and full stud kit. The head's been freshened with uprated valve springs, titanium retainers and aggressive camshaft profiles on adjustable gears.
The Haltech Elite 1500 manages a 0.83 A/R turbo, staged twin 525lph fuel pumps, and 2200cc injectors on E85. We calibrated ignition and fuelling across the full load range to deliver 280 kW at the wheels and 525 Nm, keeping AFRs safe and cylinder pressure in check for sustained track work.
The twin-plate clutch and AWD drivetrain handle the output well. Flex fuel sensing is active, so the ECU adapts when ethanol content shifts between fills. Built for off-road competition use.
Why the 9:1 compression ratio on E85?
E85's octane tolerance allows higher compression than 98 RON pump fuel, but 9:1 is conservative enough to keep detonation margins safe under full boost on a large turbo while still improving spool and part-throttle response.
What does the staged fuel pump setup do?
The dual 525lph pumps run staged: one online at lower loads, both active under high demand. It reduces heat and current draw at cruise while ensuring headroom for the 2200cc injectors at peak power.
Is 280 kW safe for regular track use?
With forged internals, ARP fasteners, and E85 keeping intake temps and EGTs down, this package is well within safe limits for consistent lapping. The Haltech tune includes knock monitoring and active trim.
This calibration was developed for a workshop like yours
The Mitsubishi Evo7 above was calibrated by Protunes for a partner workshop — they did the vehicle work and kept their customer; we did the calibration engineering on the Haltech Elite 1500. Add professional ECU and TCU calibration to your workshop without employing a calibration engineer.
