Full Motec package for a forged STi with TD05 turbo

This MY16 STi was built for serious track use and handed the full treatment: forged internals, upgraded valve springs and head gasket, then fed by larger injectors and a bigger turbo. The Motec M150 GPR replaced the factory ECU entirely, giving proper control over fuelling and ignition to suit the hardware.

With 1.52 bar of boost and a 3-inch exhaust flowing through the upgraded top-mount intercooler, the tune delivered 204 kW at the wheels and 368 Nm. The result is a well-sorted package that puts the power down cleanly through the AWD system, built to withstand sustained laps rather than peak numbers on a single dyno pull.

The calibration accounts for the TGV delete and manages boost delivery through the electronic controller, keeping everything in safe zones while making the most of the turbo upgrade and supporting mods.

Why use a Motec M150 on this build?

With forged internals and a larger turbo, the factory ECU can't manage the fuelling and ignition mapping properly. The M150 GPR is a full standalone system that gives precise control over every parameter, essential when you're pushing well beyond stock hardware limits on track.

Is this tune suitable for street use?

This is a closed-circuit competition build with forged internals and a standalone ECU. While it can be driven on the road, it's calibrated for off-road use with track-focused hardware.

What fuel does this calibration require?

The tune was developed for petrol. With this level of modification and boost pressure, premium 98 RON is the minimum—many would consider E85 for added safety margin on track.
