135i E82 — Stage 3 ECU Tune
- 280kW power output at 1 bar boost
- Flex-fuel capability for alternative fuel options
- Enhanced intake efficiency with custom manifold
- Improved thermal management via FMIC
- Port injection integration for optimized fuel delivery
- Stage 3 performance tuning for maximum output
This 2009 135i runs a G30-1050 single-turbo conversion with port injection integration and a Motiv flex-fuel sensor, all dialled in through MHD. The custom intake manifold and front-mount intercooler keep intake temps where they need to be for E85 or 98 RON use. Intended for off-road and closed-circuit competition.
Calibration balances the flex-fuel mapping with 1 bar of boost, landing at 280 kW and 490 Nm at the wheels. The port injection setup gives the fuelling headroom required when E85 is in the tank. Decent mid-range pull and a clean top end, though you'll want to keep an eye on inlet temps during extended sessions.
Typical Stage 3 N54 territory: reliable hardware choices, sensible boost target, and flex-fuel flexibility for when you can source decent E85.
Does this calibration auto-switch between 98 RON and E85?
Yes, the Motiv flex-fuel kit and MHD tune allow the ECU to adjust mapping based on ethanol content. You can run anything from pump 98 through to E85 without reflashing.
Why port injection on top of the factory direct injection?
The N54's direct injectors can't flow enough fuel for E85 at this power level. Adding port injection gives the required volume and keeps things safe under boost.
Is 1 bar conservative for a G30-1050 turbo?
It is. The turbo can support more, but 1 bar with E85 delivers 280 kW reliably and keeps the block and fuelling system comfortably within limits for track use.
