1JZ-swapped E36 on E85 with Haltech and full fuelling suite

This E36 runs a 1JZGTE swap managed by Haltech, built for closed-circuit use with a complete fuel system overhaul. High-pressure pump, upgraded injectors, and wastegate control via boost solenoids give the calibration the headroom it needs on E85.

The result is 309 kW at the wheels with 308 Nm, unusual torque for the power but typical of E85 on a six with limited displacement and boost capability stretched. The fuelling was dialled in conservatively to protect the bottom end and keep intake temps stable under load.

This one's a solid example of what a sensible fuelling spec and Haltech calibration can deliver on a JZ swap without chasing peak numbers at the expense of reliability.

Common questions
Why is torque relatively low for that power figure?

309 kW at 308 Nm suggests peak power arrives high in the rev range, common with smaller-displacement forced-induction builds where boost and airflow ramp late. The 1JZ is a 2.5-litre six, so you're trading torque for top-end breathing and revs.

What does the fuel system upgrade include for E85?

This build uses a high-pressure fuel pump, upgraded injectors, and boost solenoid control for wastegate actuation. All necessary to maintain rail pressure and delivery on E85, especially under sustained load.

Is this calibration suitable for street use?

This is a Stage 3 build tuned on E85 for off-road and closed-circuit competition. It can be driven on the road where legal, but it's built for track use first.
