The customer had already fitted an intake, charge pipes, and requested burble on overrun. Calibration focused on torque delivery through the mid-range and holding boost cleanly into higher revs without stepping into territory that would need an intercooler or fuel system work. Comfortable result for daily use with enough margin for Australian summer heat.
Stage 1 keeps the job simple and the power reliable. No knock events recorded during the dyno session, and the factory ECU handled the adjustments without issue.
Does this Stage 1 tune need any hardware changes?
No. It's a software-only calibration. This particular car had an intake, charge pipes, and burble tune, but the Stage 1 file itself doesn't require hardware modifications to run safely.
What's the torque gain like on the B48?
This file added 69 Nm, moving from 232 Nm to 301 Nm at the wheels. Mid-range response is noticeably stronger, which suits daily driving and overtaking on the highway.
