X6 — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- Improved Power Output 37% increase
- Improved Torque 24% increase
- Enhanced Boost Control
- Optimised Fuel Delivery
- Refined Boost Solenoid Response
The M57 in the E71 X6 responds well to a straightforward Stage 1 file when the hardware side is sorted. This one came in with upgraded injectors and high-pressure fuel pump already fitted, plus revised boost control through the factory solenoids. The calibration brought it from 98 kW to 134 kW at the wheels, with torque climbing from 561 Nm to 694 Nm.
It's a solid result for a software-only tune on a diesel platform that sees plenty of highway and towing work. The torque curve fills out earlier and holds longer, which is where you feel it on the road. No boost figures were recorded, but the combination of fuelling and solenoid authority gave enough headroom to keep the curve clean through the mid-range.
What hardware was required before the tune?
The vehicle had upgraded injectors, a high-pressure fuel pump, and revised boost solenoids installed prior to calibration. The tune itself is software-only, but those hard parts are necessary to support the file.
Is this suitable for towing or daily use?
Yes. The torque lift from 561 Nm to 694 Nm makes it well-suited to towing and long-distance touring, provided the supporting hardware is maintained properly.
Can this file be supplied to workshops outside metro areas?
