R35 GT-R flex-fuel file: 390.6 kW at the wheels on flex fuel, 356.4 kW on 98 RON

This 2008 R35 was set up to run flex fuel through ECUTEK, allowing the driver to switch between 98 RON and E85 depending on what's available. The supporting hardware is Stage 2 territory: enhanced intake, cooler piping, full exhaust with downpipe, uprated actuators, and both injector and fuel pump upgrades to keep the VR38 fed cleanly at higher loads.

On flex fuel the calibration recorded 390.6 kW at the wheels and 661 Nm, up from 290.2 kW and 515 Nm. In the same session it made 356.4 kW on 98 RON. Peak boost sits at 1.24 bar. The flex-fuel map reads ethanol content and adjusts ignition timing and fuelling in real time, so the car makes full power on ethanol when it is in the tank and falls back to a safe pump-fuel map when it is not.

Intended for closed-circuit and off-road competition use.

Common questions
Does the flex-fuel tune require any driver input when switching fuels?

No. The ECUTEK calibration reads ethanol content via the fuel sensor and adjusts timing and fuelling automatically. You fill the tank and drive.

What power does it make on 98 RON versus flex fuel?

Measured in the same session: 390.6 kW at the wheels on flex fuel and 356.4 kW on 98 RON, about 9 per cent less, because the calibration takes timing and boost out on pump fuel to protect the engine.

Are the factory actuators adequate for this boost level?

This file was calibrated with uprated actuators already fitted, which is why they are listed in the modifications. Factory actuators tend to creep or overboost at 1.24 bar.

This calibration was developed for a workshop like yours

The Nissan GT-R above was calibrated by Protunes for a partner workshop — they did the vehicle work and kept their customer; we did the calibration engineering on the ECUTEK. Add professional ECU and TCU calibration to your workshop without employing a calibration engineer.
