GT-R R35 — Stage 3 ECU & TCU Tune
- Variable Boost Control for optimised performance mapping
- 4-Way Map Switching for flexible tuning strategies
- Rolling Anti-Lag system for improved throttle response
- Launch Control for consistent acceleration off the line
This 2012 R35 was already running the HKS GT800 kit before arriving for calibration, along with forged internals, upgraded fuelling and a fully rebuilt Dodson GR6 transmission. The ECU and TCU calibration needed to tie it all together on flex fuel for track use.
The ECUTEK file recorded 399.7 kW at the wheels and 587 Nm while holding boost at 1.17 bar (17 psi). With forged pistons and H-beam rods already fitted, the VR38 had the foundation to handle the output, and the TCU calibration lets the built gearbox manage the load without hesitation.
Both ECU and TCU calibration are provided for this setup. Intended for closed-circuit competition use only.
Why didn't boost increase if this is a Stage 3 file?
Boost held at 1.17 bar because the GT800 kit flows far more air than the factory turbos at the same pressure. The gain comes from flow, supporting fuelling and calibration, not just from more boost.
Does the TCU tune come with the ECU file?
Yes, both ECU and TCU calibration are included. The GR6 is a dual-clutch gearbox, so there is no torque converter to lock up: clutch line pressure and clutch torque limits are raised to hold the extra torque, and gearshift torque reduction is refined so shifts stay smooth under load.
What fuel does this calibration run on?
Flex fuel. The ECUTEK calibration reads ethanol content and adjusts fuelling and timing to suit; the 399.7 kW run was recorded on flex fuel.
This calibration was developed for a workshop like yours
The Nissan GT-R above was calibrated by Protunes for a partner workshop — they did the vehicle work and kept their customer; we did the calibration engineering on the ECUTEK. Add professional ECU and TCU calibration to your workshop without employing a calibration engineer.
