ECU Bench Unlock — Boot Method (Newer ECUs)
ECUs from roughly 2020-on production typically require a boot-mode procedure — opening the ECU and working at board level — to remove factory tuning protection before any calibration can be written.
You (or your workshop) remove the ECU and courier it to us; we perform the boot-mode unlock and return it ready for tuning.
Courier & insurance are not included — you arrange and pay shipping both ways, and we strongly recommend transit insurance: we accept no liability for loss or damage in transit.
Risks (acknowledged at checkout): boot-mode work is board-level and carries inherently higher risk than a standard unlock, particularly on aged hardware; removal/refitting quality is the customer's responsibility; an unlocked ECU is a prerequisite for tuning, not a tune itself. VIN and exact vehicle details are required so the correct method is applied.
