This IS300 runs a 2JZ-VVTi swap paired with a Haltech Elite managing both engine and A340 transmission. The package includes drive-by-wire integration, upgraded fuelling, and a G30-series turbo feeding the straight-six. Intended for circuit and off-road competition use.
The calibration balances driveability with the headroom this platform offers. We delivered 313 kW at the wheels and 610 Nm as supplied by the workshop dyno. The Elite's transmission control was tuned to complement the power curve, ensuring the A340 shifts cleanly under load without hunting or slipping.
This kind of swap suits someone chasing a solid NA-T foundation with room to grow. The VVTi head responds well to forced induction when supported properly, and the Haltech platform gives you full authority over ignition, fuel, and gear logic without compromise.
Does this tune cover both the engine and transmission?
Yes. The Haltech Elite manages engine and A340 transmission control, and both are calibrated as part of this file. Shift points, line pressure, and lockup strategy are all tuned to suit the power output.
What fuel was this calibrated for?
The tune was developed for premium unleaded. If you're planning E85 or methanol injection down the track, the file will need updating to suit.
Is there room to add more boost later?
Plenty. The G30 and supporting fuel system leave headroom, but any power increase will require recalibration to keep it safe and reliable under competition use.
