This is the stage 1 file for the 2015 Golf R running the EA888 engine. Software-only changes delivered 205 kW at the wheels, up from 164 kW, with torque climbing from 184 Nm to 263 Nm on 98 RON. No hardware modifications required.
The calibration focused on boost control optimization, wastegate solenoid tuning, drive-by-wire response, high pressure fuel pump mapping, and injector pulse width refinement. The factory ECU and TCU were both addressed to keep the AWD drivetrain working predictably under the increased load.
Dyno results were supplied by the workshop. The tune suits daily driving on pump fuel while keeping the Golf R responsive through the gears without asking for supporting hardware.
Does this tune require any hardware changes?
No. This is a stage 1 software-only file. The factory hardware is retained, and the tune is designed to run safely on 98 RON pump fuel.
What's involved in the TCU calibration?
The TCU tune adjusts shift points and pressure mapping to handle the increased torque and keep the AWD system working smoothly with the new power delivery.
Will this affect drivability in traffic?
