Amarok — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- 41% increase in engine power output
- 23% increase in torque delivery
- Enhanced boost control optimization
- Improved fuel system efficiency
- Drive by wire responsiveness enhancement
The 2012 Amarok diesel responds well to factory ECU tuning, and this Stage 1 file delivers 113 kW at the wheels, up from 80 kW, with torque lifting from 333 Nm to 409 Nm. No hardware changes required, though the calibration includes optimised boost control, wastegate solenoid mapping, drive-by-wire throttle response, high-pressure fuel pump strategy, and injector timing adjustments.
The result is a more responsive ute that carries a load or tows with less gear-hunting, particularly useful on long highway hauls or touring. The torque increase sits in the mid-range where you need it, making overtaking and hill work noticeably easier without pushing the platform beyond sensible limits for daily use.
Does this tune require any supporting mods?
No. This is a software-only Stage 1 file working with the factory hardware. The calibration optimises existing boost control, wastegate solenoids, fuel pump, and injectors without needing physical upgrades.
How much torque gain can I expect?
This file delivered 409 Nm at the wheels, up from 333 Nm — a gain of 76 Nm. The increase is most noticeable in the mid-range for towing and loaded driving.
Is this suitable for a work ute that tows regularly?
Yes. The torque lift makes towing and carrying loads much easier, with less downshifting on hills and better throttle response when you need it.
