HSV GTS VE — Stage 3 ECU Tune
- 45% power increase to 233kW
- 55% torque increase to 443Nm
- Improved boost control management
- Optimized fuel system delivery
- Enhanced drive by wire response
- Maximized supercharger efficiency
This 2012 VE GTS arrived with the 2.3L Walkinshaw supercharger already fitted, but the factory ECU calibration was leaving plenty on the table. The brief was to extract the potential from the full package: upgraded fuelling, boost control solenoids, intake, and a complete exhaust with headers.
The Stage 3 file rewrote fuelling strategy to suit the larger injectors and high-pressure pump, dialled in boost control, and optimised drive-by-wire response. Result was 233 kW at the wheels, up 73 kW, with torque climbing from 286 to 443 Nm. The curve pulls cleanly through the midrange and holds firm at the top. This calibration is intended for closed-circuit use.
All figures recorded at the workshop on 98 RON. The LS platform responds well when hardware and calibration are matched properly.
What fuel is required for this calibration?
This file is calibrated for 98 RON pump fuel. Running lower octane risks knock and loss of performance.
Can I run this tune on a stock internal LS, or does it need forged internals?
The factory LS block in the VE GTS is generally robust, but at 233 kW atw with forced induction, a conservative approach to servicing and cooling is essential. Consult your workshop regarding long-term reliability.
Is boost level adjustable with this calibration?
Boost control solenoids were fitted and calibrated to suit the supercharger package. Any changes to boost or pulley size will require recalibration.
