RSQ8 Stage 2: competition downpipes and dual calibration

The RSQ8 arrived for a straightforward Stage 2 package: Redstar competition downpipes to liberate exhaust flow, then custom engine and transmission calibration to suit. Intended for closed-circuit use, the file brings the AWD platform up to 350 kW at the wheels from a baseline 317 kW—a useful 33 kW gain that sharpens response and top-end pull without touching internals.

The TCU file was rewritten alongside the engine tune to ensure shift strategy, torque limiting, and converter behaviour all work together under the higher load. The transmission side matters more than most workshops realise on these cars; factory logic starts clamping torque early once you open the exhaust up.

File tested and validated on the customer's dyno run. Both calibrations supplied as master and can be adapted further if the customer adds intake or intercooler work down the track.

Common questions
Why tune the transmission on a Stage 2 RSQ8?

Factory TCU logic includes torque limiters and shift pressure maps tied to engine output. Once you lift power and free up exhaust flow, those tables need recalibrating or the transmission will pull timing and clamp down early under load.

What power can we expect at the wheels with this package?

This file recorded 350 kW at the wheels from a 317 kW baseline, netting 33 kW. Results will vary slightly depending on dyno type, ambient conditions, and fuel quality.

Can this file be adapted if the customer adds more hardware later?

Yes. The base calibration is supplied as a master file and can be revised if they move to a larger intercooler, intake, or flex fuel down the track.
