RX7 — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- Increased peak power output to 457kW
- Optimized turbocharger boost delivery via Haltech calibration
- Improved cooling efficiency with water-to-air intercooler setup
- Enhanced inlet flow characteristics with Elite manifold
- Race-focused engine management tuning
This FD carries a semi-peripheral-port 13B build backed by a G42-1200 and Haltech engine management. The Elite inlet manifold and PWR water-to-air intercooler keep intake temps in check for track use, and the file was developed to suit the peaky nature of the PP porting without sacrificing driveability on the lower end of the rev range.
On the dyno, the car delivered 457 kW at the wheels and 550 Nm, a strong result for a semi-PP setup on this platform. The calibration leaned into the turbo's efficiency window while keeping the rotary cool and happy under sustained load. Intended for closed-circuit competition use only.
What fuel was this tune calibrated for?
Fuel type wasn't recorded with this submission, so you'd need to confirm with your customer or re-validate on known fuel before deployment.
Is 550 Nm typical torque output for a rotary at this power level?
Yes. Rotaries produce relatively modest torque compared to their kilowatt figure due to the way they generate power — high revs and flow rather than displacement and leverage.
Can this file be adapted to a street-driven RX7?
The calibration is developed for off-road and competition use. A semi-PP engine with this turbo and power level isn't suited to street registration in most states.
