425 kW E85 FD on Haltech — G42 single turbo build

This FD was built for closed-circuit use with a G42-1200 single turbo conversion, elite inlet manifold, and water-to-air intercooler barrel. The owner supplied a full supporting package including high-pressure fuel pump, uprated injectors, and wastegate control solenoids. Haltech calibration was tailored around E85 to keep EGTs in check and extract everything the hardware could give.

The dyno sheet came back at 425 kW at the wheels with 595 Nm, which is solid territory for a boosted 13B on pump E85. Fuel and ignition maps were dialled in across the range to suit the larger turbo's flow characteristics while keeping the rotary safe under load. A proper street/strip setup for someone who knows what they're after.

Common questions
Why E85 instead of 98 RON for this build?

E85 offers better knock resistance and allows more aggressive timing on high-boost rotary applications. It also runs cooler under sustained load, which matters on a 13B pushing this kind of power for track use.

What ECU platform was used?

This build runs a Haltech standalone ECU. The calibration was custom-mapped to suit the G42 turbo and E85 fuel system.

Is this safe for regular street driving?

This is a full race-spec build intended for off-road and closed-circuit competition use. The power level and supporting modifications exceed what's practical or legal for street registration in most states.
