Series 6 RX7 13B built for circuit work on 98 RON

This Series 6 RX7 was built for closed-circuit use with a solid foundation of turbo, fuelling, and cooling upgrades managed through Haltech. The TD06 turbo and Vmount intercooler layout provide the thermal headroom needed for sustained high-load running, while the Bosch 1150cc injectors handle both primary and secondary duty cycles at elevated boost levels.

The Haltech calibration balances fuel delivery, ignition timing, and boost control to suit the new hardware. Power climbed from 248 kW to 400 kW at the wheels, with torque lifting from 165 Nm to 228 Nm. The rotary's characteristic torque curve remains, but the midrange is far more usable on circuit.

Built for 98 RON pump fuel, the file prioritises reliability under extended load without requiring trackside fuel blending. The high-pressure pump and solenoid upgrade give the calibration the control needed to keep the tune safe when ambient temps climb during summer track days.

Common questions
What supporting mods were fitted to reach 400 kW?

The build includes a TD06 turbo, Vmount intercooler, Bosch 1150cc injectors on both primary and secondary circuits, a high-pressure fuel pump, upgraded boost solenoid, and Haltech engine management.

Is this calibration suitable for street use?

This calibration was developed for off-road and closed-circuit competition use. While it runs on 98 RON pump fuel, the power level and component selection are intended for track environments.

Does the torque figure reflect what a rotary typically makes?

Yes. The 13B's torque output remains modest compared to piston engines, but the usable midrange has improved meaningfully with the turbo and calibration changes.
