Colorado — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- +30% power increase
- +22% torque increase
- optimized ECU mapping
- enhanced engine performance
- improved throttle response
This 2019 Colorado came in for a straightforward Stage 1 software file paired with an improved air intake. The goal was to lift the midrange torque for towing and day-to-day driveability without pushing into hardware territory.
We delivered 21 kW at the wheels, taking it from 99 kW to 120 kW, with torque climbing from 257 Nm to 290 Nm. The workshop ran a few dyno passes to dial in the file and confirm the throttle response matched the customer's brief.
It's a sensible step up for a 4WD diesel that sees regular tow duty or long highway runs. No drama, just more usable grunt where it counts.
Does this tune require any hardware changes?
No. It's a Stage 1 software-only calibration, though this particular vehicle had an improved air intake fitted. The tune itself doesn't mandate hardware.
What's the torque increase like for towing?
Torque lifts from 257 Nm to 290 Nm at the wheels—a 33 Nm gain that makes a noticeable difference when pulling a trailer or loaded ute.
Was this dyno-calibrated?
Yes. The workshop ran dyno passes to validate and refine the tune on this specific vehicle.
