Link Fury E85 tune for classic GTR Familia with larger turbo

This '92 Familia GTR came in with a larger turbo running a restrictor and E85 fuel system. The owner wanted a reliable street and circuit setup that could take advantage of ethanol without chasing big numbers — just honest power on a well-sorted platform.

The Link Fury ECU gave us full control over fuel and ignition. With upgraded injectors, high-pressure pump, and revised coils, we had the hardware to support clean E85 delivery. The tune focused on smooth fuelling through the mid-range and stable ignition timing where the turbo comes on. Logged at 123 kW at the wheels and 220 Nm, which suits the chassis well.

Good basis for closed-circuit work or sprints. The restrictor keeps things sensible and the E85 calibration stays safe in our summer heat with a bit of headroom left in the fuel system.

Common questions
Why fit a restrictor on a larger turbo?

Keeps boost and power output within a safe window for the drivetrain and allows the turbo to spool more efficiently at lower engine speeds without overshooting targets. Common approach for street and entry-level competition use.

What does the Link Fury ECU offer over the factory setup?

Full standalone control — you can properly tune for E85, manage boost solenoids, and dial in ignition timing and fuel maps to suit the upgraded turbo and injectors. Factory ECU can't handle these changes safely.

Is this setup suitable for regular street driving?

Yes, provided E85 is readily available in your area. The tune prioritises driveability and the restrictor keeps power delivery predictable. Intended for off-road and circuit use.
