Classic '68 Galaxie on Holley EFI, clean 174 kW at the wheels

This 1968 Galaxie came in with a freshly rebuilt engine and a solid foundation: Edelbrock heads and intake, long tube headers, and a full exhaust. The owner fitted a Holley EFI fuel system and wanted the calibration sorted to take advantage of the breathing mods without chasing hero numbers.

The Stage 2 file focused on dialling in fuel delivery, ignition timing, and throttle response across the operating range. Workshop reported 174 kW at the wheels and 378 Nm, which is honest output for a naturally aspirated classic that'll actually drive well on pump fuel. No drama, no detonation, just a usable curve that suits weekend drives and the occasional open-road run.

Holley's platform gives plenty of room to refine part-throttle behaviour, and this calibration makes the most of it without asking the engine for anything it can't deliver reliably.

Common questions
What fuel was this tune calibrated for?

The file was developed for pump petrol. Australian 98 RON is the recommended baseline for this calibration and the ignition timing strategy used.

Does this suit a similar engine with different heads or intake?

Not as-is. The calibration accounts for the airflow characteristics of the Edelbrock combination fitted to this vehicle. Different cylinder heads or manifold will require recalibration.

Can this file be adapted to other Holley EFI setups?

It's a useful starting reference for similar naturally aspirated V8 builds on the Holley platform, but you'll need to adjust fuel and ignition tables to match the specific engine hardware and sensor inputs.
