This M156 came in for a full Stage 3 build centred on the Weistec Stage 2 supercharger package. Supporting hardware included upgraded high-pressure fuel pump, injectors, boost control solenoids, wastegate management, and a set of long-tube headers. The file was developed on the factory ECU for 98 RON.
On the dyno, the car put down 489 kW at the wheels with 1000 Nm of torque—a gain of 211 kW over the naturally aspirated baseline of 278 kW. This is a proper circuit build. Traction management and fuel delivery were prioritised throughout the map to keep things predictable under load.
Is this safe on 98 RON pump fuel for track use?
Yes, the calibration was developed specifically for 98 RON with the upgraded fuel system in place. At this power level, fuel quality and consistency matter—especially in summer heat during extended sessions.
What's involved in supporting 1000 Nm on the M156?
Beyond the supercharger and headers, you need a high-pressure fuel pump, larger injectors, and proper boost control hardware. The factory ECU can manage it with a thorough file, but the supporting hardware has to be right.
Can the factory ECU handle this much forced induction?
It can, but there's no headroom left. The file makes full use of the factory platform's limits. Any further increase in boost or flow would require a standalone or piggyback solution.
