C63 AMG W205 — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- 15% power increase to 330kW
- 25% torque increase to 604Nm
- Enhanced boost control management
- Optimised fuel system delivery
- Improved drivability with drive-by-wire calibration
The M177 platform responds well once the factory fuel and boost control limits are addressed. This 2016 C63 came in with upgraded wastegate solenoids, high-pressure fuel pump, and injectors—all aimed at making safe power on 98 RON in warmer months without leaning out under load.
The factory ECU calibration was revised to suit the hardware changes, with attention to drive-by-wire mapping for smoother throttle response and revised boost control to manage the solenoid upgrade. Results came back at 330 kW at the wheels, up from 287 kW, with torque lifting from 483 Nm to 604 Nm.
This Stage 2 setup is intended for closed-circuit competition use. The hardware combination keeps heat manageable and fuelling consistent across the pull, which matters on longer sessions.
Why upgrade the high-pressure fuel pump and injectors on a Stage 2 file?
The factory fuel system on the M177 runs close to capacity once you start lifting boost and torque. Upgraded pump and injectors ensure consistent rail pressure and prevent lean conditions under sustained load, especially in Australian heat.
What does the wastegate solenoid upgrade achieve?
Aftermarket solenoids allow finer boost control and faster spool response. The calibration can then command more aggressive boost curves without overrunning target or causing wastegate flutter.
Is this safe on 98 RON pump fuel year-round?
Yes, provided the fuel is fresh and consistent. The tune accounts for typical 98 RON quality and includes headroom for timing pull if knock is detected during hotter days.
