i30 N Line — Stage 2 ECU Tune
- 14% power increase to 133kW
- 31% torque increase to 345Nm
- Enhanced throttle response via drive-by-wire optimization
- Improved fuel system efficiency
- Sharper overall driving characteristics
- Deceleration pop and crackle enhancement
The 1.6L turbocharged four in the 2021 i30 N Line responds well to calibration once the factory exhaust restriction is addressed. This Stage 2 build pairs a full exhaust upgrade with custom ECU tuning, boost control optimisation, and high-pressure fuel pump calibration to support the extra demand. Fuel injector scaling was dialled in to maintain clean delivery on 98 RON.
Results came back at 133 kW at the wheels, up 16 kW on factory, with torque lifting from 264 Nm to 345 Nm. The workshop also requested decel pop implementation for character on the overrun. The tune keeps the factory ECU in place while making the most of the hardware changes—good midrange pull without needing a standalone.
What's needed to run this Stage 2 file safely?
A full exhaust system is essential, and the high-pressure fuel pump and injector calibration work assumes those components are upgraded or capable of supporting the increased fuel demand. 98 RON minimum.
Does the decel pop affect drivability?
It's tuned in as a light feature on throttle lift—adds a bit of theatre without disrupting normal around-town driving.
Can this calibration be run on a stock exhaust?
No. The file is calibrated specifically for a full exhaust upgrade and won't suit the factory system.
