This 2014 Veloster arrived with a solid foundation: downpipe, uprated injectors, high-pressure fuel pump, and revised boost control via new wastegate solenoids. The factory ECU calibration was holding it back, so we built a Stage 2 file on 98 RON to make use of what was already there.
The tune addressed fuelling across the load map, sharpened drive-by-wire response, and dialled in boost control to suit the hardware changes. End result at the wheels was 90 kW and 201 Nm, up from 74.4 kW and 140.6 Nm stock. Not a world-beater, but a useful lift for closed-circuit use where the extra mid-range makes a difference in a light front-driver.
Factory ECU, so no standalone required. Calibration keeps margins safe given the G4FD's small displacement and the supporting mods already fitted.
What supporting mods are required for this Stage 2 file?
You'll need a downpipe, upgraded injectors, high-pressure fuel pump, revised wastegate solenoids, and boost control capability. The file also incorporates drive-by-wire tuning to suit the increased output.
Can this file run on standard 95 RON pump fuel?
No, this calibration is built specifically for 98 RON. Running lower octane will pull timing and limit the power and torque gains.
Is this suitable for street use?
This Stage 2 file is intended for off-road and closed-circuit competition use only, given the modifications and increased output.
