i30 N Line — Stage 1 ECU Tune
- 27% power increase
- 28% torque increase
- improved midrange pull
- sharper throttle response
- enhanced engine control management
- more engaged driving experience
The 1.6T in the N Line responds well to calibration once you address the factory boost control and fuel delivery. This file targets both, with wastegate solenoid optimization to hold boost more consistently and high-pressure fuel pump tuning to support the extra air. Drive-by-wire calibration smooths out throttle response, particularly in the lower gears where the factory map can feel hesitant.
The catback exhaust helps with flow but the real work is in the fuel injector optimization and boost control strategy. Results came back at 108 kW and 232 Nm at the wheels, up from 85 kW and 181 Nm. That's 23 kW gained with no hardware changes beyond the exhaust, and it sits comfortably on 98 RON.
Useful as a daily tune for workshops chasing reliable output without asking customers to change intercoolers or downpipes. The torque lift is felt most between 2500 and 4500 rpm where these cars spend most of their time.
Is the factory high-pressure fuel pump adequate for Stage 1?
Yes, with tuning. The calibration optimizes pump pressure and injector duty cycle to support the additional fueling demand without exceeding safe margins on 98 RON.
Does this tune require a new clutch or transmission work?
Not immediately. The torque increase is moderate and the factory dual-clutch gearbox handles it, though clutch life may be shorter under aggressive use.
What's the benefit of wastegate solenoid optimization on this platform?
Smoother boost delivery and less tendency to spike or drop off mid-corner. Factory boost control can be inconsistent, particularly in warmer conditions.
